in the mood for a Hot Italian Sausage Sandwich. The key is DON'T RUSH! Let the fillings simmer simmer simmer (see photos) for a good two hours. If you don't make your own marinara, store bought works well. IMPORTANT!! After preparing the Italian sausage, add the pan drippings to the fillings you've been simmering...trust me, it will MAKE the sauce. A fresh bun is the final key to a mouthwatering sandwich that disappears quick...OR try over PASTA...this is when being a HOT MESS is a GOOD THING. Enjoy!
